How To Sync Order Tags and Notes to Original Platform

Overview



Original and exchange orders associated with AfterShip Returns and Warranty are accompanied with related tags and notes on the original purchase’s eCommerce platform for you to recognise them easily. You can customize these AfterShip Returns and Warranty replacement order tags for certain return events and decide whether to sync them back to your eCommerce platform. These customizable tags and available notes will help you find orders linked to AfterShip Returns and Warranty RMAs on your eCommerce platform’s order dashboard.

Enable auto-generated tags and notes



Returns



Go to Settings in your AfterShip Returns admin.
Click Tags and notes > Returns.



By enabling the tags and notes for the supported events of original and exchange orders, they will be auto-generated and attached to the original orders of your customers as well as to the exchange orders created via AfterShip Returns.

For some events, the settings are enabled by default. Though you can disable them anytime in the settings.
Order tags are customizable for Return request submitted and Return request expired events.
A maximum of 3 tags can be added for editable tags.
Order notes are not customizable.

Replace with the same item and Exchange for the items resolutions will trigger this event.

The settings are enabled by default. Though you can disable them anytime in the settings.
Order tags are customizable for the exchange order and a maximum of 3 tags can be added.
Order notes are not customizable.

Warranty



Go to Settings in your AfterShip Returns admin.
Click Tags and notes > Warranty.
By enabling the tags and notes for the supported events of original order for which the warranty claim is submitted and warranty replacement orders are created, they will be auto-generated and attached to the original orders of your customers as well as to the replacement orders created via AfterShip Returns.

For some events, the settings are enabled by default. Though you can disable them anytime in the settings.
Order tags are customizable only for Replacement order created event when the item needs to be replaced as a result of the warranty claim submitted. But you need to select these tags from the list of supported dynamic values.
A maximum of 3 tags can be added.
